Thinking about Residencia! Im 69 my wife 61 so if we apply for S1 I get healthcare free as an OAP. But with my wife being under retirement age would she have to take out insurance?

If you qualify for an S1, then your wife would also be covered by that, even though she is below retirement age. However, when she reaches retirement age, she will need to apply for her own S1.
