Hi all hope you are all safe and well, anyway we are looking to buy in Spain and would already have but for the present Circumstances, we have seen a Neptuno 3 bed property on sector c on the website at a good price and were just wondering what we should be looking for in that type of house and also that district, I know from research each district has its pro/con but would appreciate first hand experience, as it’s a forever home it needs to be the right one and right area, many thanks in advance,

Hi I would suggest to visit when you can before buying as Camposol is like marmite love it or hate it. We ruled out upper C straight away and settled on D. We had a survey done and highly recommend you do the same. Whatever sector you choose it would be beneficial to have a car or you will be quite isolated. You cant beat Camposol for value for money and community spirit. Good luck in your search

Thank you for your reply, we should have visited Camposol when we did a trip back in February but looked at some country properties and ran out of time, there are bargains to be had in compasol but as you suggest it’s not all good, anyway we will visit when ever that might be allowed, so in the meantime you all keep safe and again thanks for reply,

Meant to have said houses get very cold so if the purchase doesnt have heating you will need to budget for having either central heating or a log burner installed. It's expensive to run  / maintain a pool so factor that in as well.

Try to work out what your monthly costs will be for living there full time. We added everything including taxes utilities healthcare running a car house insurance and food and it came to under €900 a month for a 2 bedroom to give you an idea. Thats without going out for meals socialising etc. Obvo with covid situation taxes could increase. There is also the ongoing talk of maintenance fees for sectors so if this does come into force allow extra just in case.

Hi. Aspect is important. We rented a Neptuno for a week last October prior to being able to move into the house we have bought on A. The D terrace was enclosed but faced north, which made the house very cold.

Hi to be honest we did see a detached county house up near Alcoy, we seem to think it may be better to buy in the country as you can get more for your money, iv known about Camposol from a friend so decided to inquire but as always some good and some bad comments

Hi, buying in the country is a great, as long as you speak fluent Spanish, do not need urgent help, and pray this present virus does not come back, if it ever goes completely, as you would be TOTALLY isolated from every one and every thing.

In these times you need a community around you, for help and support, and of course if you are in the later years of life, it is very, very important to have some one near to call on.

Lots of people have found how valuable a great community is in these times, and Camposol is without doubt a great community, and it has just proved itself.

Think carefully.

Hi, yes I know what you mean but when I said country I meant it loosely, places we have looked at are just outside towns that have all facilities, alcoy ect, we are in our early 60s and quit fit, but for sure it does play on my mind about later in life,

Agree, later life creeps up very fast, always play safe, look ahead and plan carefully.

Camposol will solve all for you, health centre on site, emergency call out medical response called ( FAST ) just minutes from you for immediate medical help before the ambulance arrives.

Shops, bars, Consum super market, post office, petrol station, bank, gym, garden centre, and a fantastic community around you.

Thats good planning, and peace of mind for your safety and well being.

Alcoy is flippin freezing in the winter and does not have the sunny weather of areas in a lower altitude, but if you like snow and cloud....😊
