I am getting so many mixed messages about what it’s like to live on Camposol , especially regarding the inferior build quality of the properties and the fact that you can’t get the required certificates.

I know I need to come look for myself but I am not having many positive thou

Don't believe everything you hear....there are some beautiful properties here . The problems are in a small area and this a huge place . If you deal with a reputable agent you won't even be shown property without the correct paperwork . Come and see for yourself....and come with an open mind .

If you listen to the prophets of doom and gloom...on the likes of (eye on Spain) web site ...you would still be sitting in the UK .... people that run Camposol down  have never actually visited Camposol themselves ...what they tend to do is listen to Tony down the pub ...that happened to be listening to Jimmy down the pub that got his information of the eye on Spain web site....so come and see for yourself and make your own mind up...I have had a Villa on Camposol for 11years 3 beds/3 bathrooms/9x4 swimming pool /build quality is as good as it gets in Spain and love it ..I also have all the legal paperwork for full ownership.

We were in the same position as you 3 years ago and most of what we read on the forums seemed to be doom and gloom but we soon recognised it was simply the solicitor who is still tryting to get a good deal for the unfortunate people who suffered the subsidence by buying many years ago

We used Mercers the estate agents and they use PALS solictors and these days the buying procedure is much more structured and in line with regulations. We bought a property and got all the legal deeds etc. co personally I would not worry. As much as the Spanish authorities are looking to clamp down then equally those buying and selling are more compliant with the rules

Camposol is a great place to live but in the end the decision is yours and so probably you should visit just to get a feel of the place and see what you think

Have lived on Camposol on and off for nearly 14 years, like a lot of urbanisations it isn't without it's problems, but there are some positives too, you need to visit to make your own mind up

I think it depends on what you want from Spain. Our friends have a detached house on Camposol and adore it. We nearly bought there too but then we realised we wanted to be more in the rural Spain which would encourage me to speak Spanish so we bought in an area I had never heard of previously! We have found ourselves surrounded by lemons, oranges, almonds, olives, figs, apricots and the most wonderful friendly people. Spain is fantastic. The best decision we ever made. We feel like teenagers again and believe me that was a long time ago! :)

We were nearly that unfortunate to buy on there

Through mercers estate agents

Told us all the paper work for the legal build was in place

That the deeds were validated by the local authorities

And to use there recommended Solisitor

We paid our deposit

But we had our own Solisitor which they didn't want us to use

Said there's would be easier

Our Solisitor then checked it all out for us

The Villa had never been validated as a legal build

So had no right to be there

Could be knocked down at any time

Our structural engineer said he could not work out it still was standing as the build was treble

We pulled out lost our deposit and was happy to do so

Now live in ROLDAN

IN A GREAT. COMMUNITY  AND VERY WELL BUILT VILLAS

Very surprised regarding the above comment regarding Mercers as found them extremely helpful. However, it does highlight the fact that each individual/couple has their own desires and priorities and have to make up their own mind. You have to visit Camposol, or wherever, and then make your decision based on what you see, how you feel etc.

I think it is clear from the many responses on here that those who have chosen to live in Camposol feel they made the right choice and have lived here happily for many years and those close to where I have live have been here for over 10 years each and that is about4 different families which in itself was a good recommendation for us
