I think it depends on what you want from Spain. Our friends have a detached house on Camposol and adore it. We nearly bought there too but then we realised we wanted to be more in the rural Spain which would encourage me to speak Spanish so we bought in an area I had never heard of previously! We...

... have found ourselves surrounded by lemons, oranges, almonds, olives, figs, apricots and the most wonderful friendly people. Spain is fantastic. The best decision we ever made. We feel like teenagers again and believe me that was a long time ago! :)

Trish

Hi Trish, thankyou. Where did you settle eventually?

We were nearly that unfortunate to buy on there

Through mercers estate agents

Told us all the paper work for the legal build was in place

That the deeds were validated by the local authorities

And to use there recommended Solisitor

We paid our deposit

But we had our own Solisitor which they didn't want us to use

Said there's would be easier

Our Solisitor then checked it all out for us

The Villa had never been validated as a legal build

So had no right to be there

Could be knocked down at any time

Our structural engineer said he could not work out it still was standing as the build was treble

We pulled out lost our deposit and was happy to do so

Now live in ROLDAN

IN A GREAT. COMMUNITY  AND VERY WELL BUILT VILLAS

Thanks for the info

Yes they seemed good to us until

They got the deposit

Wrong information on licensing

And legalities

Wrong Solisitor who lacks the true information

As they do all the work for Mercer's

In general untrustworthy com

I wonder how long ago this was and  how much the property was ...as the only properties without the legal paperwork tend to be the one's with building issue's  ...since the council took over the running of Camposol 2 year's back  every property that is legally built has a Escutra (deeds) ...if you look around the part of Spain  you have bought in you will find just as many problems with build quality ...with builder's going bankrupt before the site is finished ...this sort of thing happens frequently...even in your part of utopia.😁

Hi Trish, thankyou. Where did you settle eventually?

A lovely historical town called Mula, actually El Niño de Mula... child of Mula!

We are surrounded by stunning 360 views of mountains, the old castillo, fruit trees and lovely restaurants.

Fantastic. Approx 1hr drive from Alicante or San Javier. We have a pool, totally detached. Murcia is an amazing province of Spain... so many amazing walks... check out the Ravines of Gebas! Stunning.

A great idea is visit camposol stay for s couple of eeeks then go somewhere else and do same that is the best way of finding what or where you like and solicitors ??? There are many agents who are good but equally as many who are not only go with one with personal recommendations sadly solicitorscare also the same in spain so again personal recommendation but always make sure you like what you buy that is more important we went to campasol but discarded because of the distance from the sea and the high proportion of Brit’s but many do like it so best way is try it but without commitment of a purchase you can talk to different people with different ideas then make a decision

After 13 years in rural Brittany living in camposol is a bit of a culture shock ! but in all honesty we love it . I was swayed by all the negative things I had seen and read beforehand and I didn't really want to even view here but my husband had seen the underbuilds and was tempted ! So we came and looked and I am so glad we did...We liked it so much we bought one without an underbuild ! Just come and see there are lots of lovely places everywhere .

Weather hasn't been a bed of roses here in Murcia, but no doubt better than Normandy, come and have a look around lots of nice places coastal and inland
