Hi and welcome.
Costs will vary depending on the size of the villa, how many people will live in it, whether you have a pool, air con, what type of heating you have etc. Will you have a car?
Health care costs if you plan to live there are expensive.
For a couple under state retirement age for a 2 bedroom no pool but hot tub, gas water heater and log burner running a car all taxes and insurance including health care we have budgeted around €900 a month which excludes clothing socialising and flights back home to see the family to give you an idea.
Hi thanks for replying,
At the moment we just want to use it as a holiday home for the family and rent it out to give us an income for when we retire , it’s a 3 bed 3 bath with pool , will probably have to hire a car at first , gas water heater I think Or solar , is it cheaper than living in the uk ? And what’s the prospect of been able to rent it out as a holiday let

Hi for short term holiday let's you need a licence to rent it out and must declare income on it. IBI is alot cheaper than the UK. My annual bill is the same as my monthly council tax bill in the UK. House insurance is cheaper. Gas bottles for water are only €15 to re fill. Exchange rate is poor at the moment. Whether Brexit changes things only time will tell.
Alcohol is cheap. Eating out is relatively cheap compared to UK. Car hire can be expensive so are 2nd hand cars to buy. Expect to pay more than you would do in the UK for brands you are used to such as Heinz hellmans etc. The supermarket on camposol is quite big and very well stocked including a fresh bread section, butchers, fish cold meat and cheese counters.
What’s the level of crime in Camposol, and is there plenty English in the area ? Also villas are so cheap to buy there at the moment, a 3 bed 3 bath with pool on a 250 plot for €100,000 whys that do you think ?

Compared to UK crime is very low. Mainly burglaries and muggings.
Depends which sector it is. Certain areas we avoided due to subsidence state of roads etc.
Camposol is not adopted by the council. Some roads have no street lighting. The gardening groups mostly fill pot holes and keep the public gardens looking lovely. The volunteers do a fab job.
The council have just started to fill some big pot holes and getting some street lights on. The major is meant to visit in the evening next month so hopefully he will address other areas without lights
Get a survey done.
I’m beginning to like this group lol
Which areas should I avoid buying in campoand is Mazarrón a better area

It's a case of researching and visiting the area and maybe rent 1st if that's an option.

Alioops is about right, we budget 1000 euros per month this include 20-25 euros per week for a Sunday lunch or mid week .Menu Del Dia. The monthly budget excludes pretty much all Aliooos has said. My OH and I are on state pensions and find the cost of living in Spain rising rapidly, mostly due to the falling pound against the Euro.

Hola I live in/on Sierra Golf No pool two bed house live alone not sure about taxes from renting
But council tax €200 per year electricity €50 per month water (I think is €50 every other month) wine €2.50 a bottle for Rocha
water €0.25 from the Spa or €1.25 for a big (very big) Bottle ice cold small beer (served in a glass from the freezer) €1.50
car is very expensive more so if you buy from Specialist Vehicles in San Javier (I lost €2,800 on a car from them not fit for purpose)
and only drove the car for two weeks so if you intend to buy a car ,go very carefully again if you hire a car, go careful
look out for many traps when dealing with car sales But I can recommend Paul Callaghan of carsinspain Torre pacheco
Food not that sure now on a diet but €75 per month at Iceland in San Javier
