Love ours. Look at eurospas. I have a lady that maintains and services ours for €20 @ month. She comes once a week. We wouldn't be without ours.

Be careful. Find out the weight of the type of spa you want, full of water plus two persons...doubt it will be less than 600kg.
Check the loadings factors on these pre-fab type house roofs...you may get a shock!
And add in the vibration factor...................

And there is the small works licence to obtain and pay for...
They have just completed a full survey with an aircraft over the Mar Menor area and inland, so those with illegal pools, extensions and so on should be prepared for some official-looking envelopes in their buzon, or even a visit from the local police. Some years ago they did this in the Axarquia region and raised a fortune.

Take no notice of the doom mongers; doesn't need any licences, its not a pool or an extension.
Plus, most Spanish properties are constructed with concrete floors and beams, unlike the uk where we have wooden joists and boards. They will support 10 elephants, and some.
As for the lady who pays 20e per month!!!!! I've got 2 hot tubs, all you have to do is add a small amount of chlorine every couple of weeks. 20e worth of chlorine will last a year! They take no up keep at all.

Nick is correct about build licences ...a hot tub/jacuzzi is a temporary objecr, much like a table and chairs. Since we have one too th cost of chemicals is probably only €25 a year. However he is wrong about the strength of the roofing. These builds are only prefabs!

Hi Simona, I understand why you want a jacuzzi on the solarium.
Unfortunately speaking from experience I would not recommend it.
Within 3 years the vibration loosened not only the tiles underneath the hot tub, even though we laid a thick insulation membrane under the hot tub, but the vibration also loosened various tiles on our 85m2 solarium. Its almost as if the grout jumped out.
One wonders what that amount of vibration does to the membrane? That would be a very skilled and costly repair.
We moved recently and had no hesitation to reinstall on the ground floor knowing now we would never have the same risk again. Also take into account to take repairs your looking at appx 500€ to lift a hot tub off a solarium roof.
You do not need building approval from the Townhall either as it is a temporarymoveable garden object, been there done it 😊.
Running costs, buy a test kit from the chino 4€ and multi use chlorine tablets 25€ tub should last the year.
Keep the chlorine level at 5ppm as apposed to swimming pools max 3ppm.
Jacuzzi's need much higher chlorine level.
Buy sodium bicarbonate granules from Mercadona, much cheaper than Ph + from a pool shop as there will be a tendency for the water to alter quite frequently (higher temperatures 32c recommended).
More importantly, enjoy.
Nothing like it especially on a hot sweaty night about 11.30pm 👍🏻
Final tip make sure users shower in water only first, definately no no no no shampoo or body lubricants and costumes must be rinsed in clean water and never never never allow use if washed in a washing machine.
Any of these infringements will turn your jacuzzi into a bubble bath 😜
You will end up draining it within a few days because the soap will cause ""strings of bacteria to grow" . Chlorine will not eradicate this type of problem.

Most Spanish houses aren't built the way MASA built thank goodness! I would never risk that weight on a MASA property. I know some who have and probably got away with it, other's have had problems. Quality control of those MASA concrete panels was almost non existent and I doubt you'd get a structural engineer to sign it off. Siting it on the ground should not present any problems so long as the ground is solid.
Doom mongers no, just pointing out some facts that some people might not be aware of.....it's called helping. These things aren't cheap.
Regarding aerial surveying, this has been done for year's in Spain. As well as aircraft, and there was one I tracked on radar last week when looking for a flight to come in, the Council at Mazarron are now using drones!! You probably don't need a license for a Spa but I read somewhere that by law you do need to keep a cover over it, the same as with swimming pools. Mosquito prevention!
Thank you for the an
