We currently have a family renting the villa down from us and they are the noisiest neighbours - screeming parents and kids and partying until 2am - what is the take on this - is there a certain when the noise should stop. I appreciate they are on holiday but this is an urbanisation where many people live. Surely the owners of the properties they rent out provide a DO and DON'T list.

If you know the landlord or letting agents ...tell them if it happens again you will denounce the property owner and they will not be able to rent the property out until the problem is resolved...to start the ball rolling just phone the police and get the complaint documented...but make sure you have a viable complaint otherwise you could be making things difficult for yourself...think about it first they will be gone next week.

Don't think there is much you can do about noise in the day, everyone has there limits as what is acceptable or not, but can you not approach them in the day and ask them kindly if they can  keep it down after midnight? I for one would be mortified if someone approached us and would certainly be more mindful, worth a try and failing that as frequent flyer has said they will be gone soon, hope you get it sorted.

If this is a holday let ask the owners if the property is registered with the tourist board and they have a licence ? Even with an estate agent all short term/holiday let's have to be registered

Don’t know if it’s the same ones as we have. There are 3 women and 5 or 6 kids who shout, scream ( and I mean scream) swear etc all day and well into the night. I’ve never heard the like and didn’t think people this awful actually existed. The children sound like they are being murdered! Problem is that they’re the sort of people who will just tell you to F off or worse. Empty vessels and all that .....

Hi you are on a community?

Your rules will have time limits on 'holiday enjoyment noise' which is what you are suffering.

The problem will be dealt with by your President. In absence you will have a deputy. This is one of their duties.

However, I have known many gutless Presidents who just want the title.

Go and see your President it is his responsibilty to deal with such problems.

If you have no satisfaction give the Guardia a ring, they will come out, but leave it until after midnight.

Also if you are Resident get the app "Cop Alert", exactly the type of problem this app can deal with using the Guardia Civil. This app also caters for the English.

I could suggest a deputation, but deal with it the legal way. Good luck hope my advice is useful to you.

Got the badge as they say.

Thanks for taking the time to post your info. We don’t have a president or that kind of set up in Camposol as far as I know. We have been here since last Friday and I have been subjected to this every day. I moved here for peace and quiet but I can honestly say I don’t think there’s a decibel level high enough for these dreadful people. I had been renting in a community previously and there was a president there who did nothing. All the kids were allowed to scream, shout and run around till 2 in the morning and no one did anything as their parents sat out there watching. Not what I signed up for but hey it showed me not to buy in an apartment block as residential living. Thanks again for your input.

Then complain ( after midnight) to the Guardia Civil. They will come out.

Its a pity no one has confronted these individuals who would probably threatened you ( it helps)

Nevertheless, a visit from the Guardia may have a calming affect.

If not, call the Guardia out again ( after midnight of course ) They will not be dealt with leniently on a second visit.

Oh one point get a few neighbours together to do the complaint to the Guardia, it helps - removes the personal bit.

Failing that can a muster of half a dozen men get together? That works too from personal experience.

Tee hee we are mostly retired pensioners and as I said I’ve only been here since Friday but am gathering from my immediate neighbours that this is not the norm and they will be going home soon. So probably best not to prod the wasps’ nest so to speak. I’d hate to be on the same plane as that rabble though.
