Someone even denounce the veg man that comes to the bottom of C sector last week, he did really good and cheap fruit and veg too.

Whatever anyone does they need to dot every i and cross every t around here.

Knowing "Camposolians" I imagine that a community shop and bar run by volunteers would work simply because it would be used. Any profits could be used to improve the area and it would become a community hub. If anybody on Sector D has experience of working in something like a League of Friends shop in the UK they would be invaluable. They could even invite the fruit and veg man to use the area outside the shop (legally) in return for a small payment.

I visited camposol 2 weeks ago n loved sector d. My first words were how come no one has opened shop/bar. If you can do it go for it. I love the place but not aving transport  would stop me. Nothing wrong with having a go. I would defo use it. And sure most would.

Quiet and silence ? .  no pop groups blaring away, no motorway noise, no drunks shouting their way down the road and being sick all over the place, no pig farms planned, no drunken drivers crashing into roundabouts, no diesel fumes hanging over everything..  Very dull and boring and qui...

We are looking at this sector because it is so quiet  👍

Hi all

Just wanted opinions on opening a small grocery shop & a bar on sector D.

Nothing thier at the moment & wanted to know if people would use these or would people still prefer to use businesses on sector A & B

Your opinion is important

Thank you

Absolutely brilliant idea. We would definitely use both shop and bar. I’m sure if one place opens it would encourage others and who knows we would have the same facilities as sector A and B. There is certainly plenty of waste land to create a retail and bar area

Great idea but not going to happen.

The idea has been looked at over the years & every time it has never happened.

Probably the main stumbling point is not enough people there to make a food business viable.

You do actually need a pretty high footfall to make something like this work.

Yes lots of derelict land, but it is not for retail purposes.

Not being a doom & gloom merchant, just being honest.

Agree with Roland. D sector is probably the largest on Camposol but how many properties are empty, how many holiday homes and how many permanent residents? Unless’ a small shop’ is going to sell everything (tinned, fresh fruit & veg, fresh meat, chacuterie, bread etc) people are going to travel to shop, especially true for tobacco products and newspapers. The one on D sector will be for small incidentals and people calling for a drink, not enough custom to make a living wage for a family.

Well no wonder nothing gets done. I’ve never seen so many people with such negative attitudes   No matter what gets mentioned there is a barrage of negatives. Last week it was the Irish bar. Don’t you want the area to develop and prices of our homes to increase. I’ve only been a member of this forum since May and I’ve never seen anything like it. There are numerous urbanisations all over Spain and the residents are glad of development in the area. What is wrong with you people. You want everything to stay just as it was years ago when you first moved out to Spain. Evolution is the key to a better living environment people. Wake up and smell the coffee. The council probably won’t do anything not because they are corrupt like most of you seem to think but because if they have a representative looking at the claptrap in this forum they probably think WHY BOTHER
