If you look around Spain you will see many Villas and apartments converted int businesses, on sector "A" for example Mercers used to trade from a villa and there used to be some villas off the top road opposite where the butchers are, that had been converted to commercial.

Also as Steve reiterated what I had said that it would be a very expensive process/

I am sure if you did get permission people may use it but you would have to be very competitive with your prices and you would not have the buying power of the larger companies.

Also, frequent flyer has said he had purchased a villa on a gated community elsewhere and has said there are many people selling up? although I am sure others will replace them.

Again best wishes but just get some advice from the town hall before you invest and possibly lose too much money,

ED

It was or still is down to the hierarchy that runs the town hall, I wanted to start a taxi service also I looked into an ice cream van and a mobile shop all were turned down by town hall even though Camposol required these services specially taxi, maybe things have lightened up down town hall, but be prepared to be knocked back.

Brilliant idea ,I for one will definatly use it , but ask why in 14 years nobody has managed to set up a Bar and grocery. The council is so corrupt you would need to pay individuals at 50k Euros each to be successful, many have tried and many have given up . I wish you every success and if you do manage to get it off the ground??? I will be more then happy to help you as I live in sector D.

Many people have considered this over the years. If it was possible there would be lots of shops & bars on D Sector. The laundry was used as a small shop & cafe & was closed down because it didn鈥檛 have the correct licences. The town hall will not issue a licence. If you buy on D Sector you are aware there are no amenities there. I know of a Spanish couple who wanted to open a small supermarket last year & they got turned down too.

I will second this reply..the Villa that Blaya Blaya got as a back hander was only 8 doors down from me.

Please give it a try, nothing ventured nothing gained, we will definitely give it a try. And no doubt will all the doom and gloom mongers馃憤

I would definitely ask a Gestoria first about rules regs etc.  There is a hairdressers on A that has been converted from a villa. So why is Frequent flyer so sure it is nigh on impossible???
