Just reading about the police chase on sector B as we're back in a UK and have holiday home there was wondering if anyone could give us a bit more info. Also hope the meeting went well with the council.

Police gave chase to a 4x4 which was believed to be delivering drugs.

It was a big chase, even with the 4x4 driving through the square on B. It went on all over Camposol, and even over the Campo, and farmers fields.

But no mention if it was caught.

The meeting was packed out, best I have seen, even wine and food layed on.

The Mayor stated that plans are nearly done for items to be started on Camposol, the hold ups were courts, and the opposition party who go against everything Camposol needs.

Items should start this year, roads, lights, new bridge all on the plans, but even the money from the bonds released will not cover all.

A suggestion was replace the lighting with solar led, no wires required, no cost to run, lets see.

The Mayor clearly stated nothing has been done in 20 years, so a lot of work needs doing.

One big point is that private roads are down to the residents, and a community of residents in each private road is needed, as the council will not do any thing.

He clearly stated if you live in a private road you can do what you wish to improve it, or seal it of to access.???

A private road is any road leading of a main road, there is a list of private roads avaliable.

There were lots of words of ( rubbish ) shouted out, but I have to say it was the most positive meeting so far, and I now believe work will get done, as we are a pain in the councils side.

If we show the Mayor we all stick together, we will get action, numbers mean something to him and his council.

Re police patrols, it was stated police are in training, but how long who knows, this was a strong point from residents and they made it clear police patrols are needed now.????

There should be a report come out some time, along with a notice to residents to agrre what work will be done, or not.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks for the information from the meeting held with the Mayor on 8th, I will hopefully be installed in my new home from 1/3 and would be very keen to be involved in any residents groups , in my previous life I was a Civil Servant for over 20 years so am well used to red tape and government  twaddle  maybe it was a mistake to tell you this🥴 but joking aside  I realise the strength of feeling regarding these matters and wish to do anything I can to assist. See you all soon.

I applaud you for your willingness to help. Camposol needs more people like you and you have my respect for offering your help. Enjoy your move to Camposol and welcome! Many things about Camposol and living in Spain are beautiful. I hope all the negativity won't demotivate you.
