I read some time ago that a Pig Farm was being proposed in the area of Camposol.
Can you tell me if permission was ever granted for this to be built, and if so in which area would it be positioned?
I look forward to your reply.

There is a pig farm next to Camposol. It runs along side of lower C Sector.

There is and always has been a small pig farm on the outskirts of sector B/C far away from the urbanization..I have been told it house's around 200 pig's ...there was a planning application around 3 years back for a large pig farm over by sector A ...when I say over by sector A ..it was around 3 miles away ..but the poison pen brigade on other Spanish forum's like Eye on Spain twisted it and led people to believe it was on Camposol... Anyway planning has been refused.
Thank you for your reply, it was most helpful as we have been looking at a house on sector A and needed some independent information.
It would be better if it was 30miles away not 3 miles as, if it ever got permission to go ahead I'm sure the smell and the flies would still be a problem.
kind regards.
I live on Sector CD right behind the pig farm and we only very occasionally get a bit of a whiff but nothing to worry about.
I used to live on sector A and the old pig farm was about 300 yards up a track leading of from the perimeter road. It actually never smelled too bad but there where lots of flies around it, never got any in the house though.

When I was in Kuwait, there wasn't a pig farm for thousands of miles, but we still got flies. Flies are a fact of life in
warm climates
This is Spain, not Kuwait.

The point I was making, is do not be negative, I do believe that the pig farm does not, impact the fly situation any more than swill bins around the restaurants etc. Spain is certainly warmer than the UK so the fly situation is more prevalent.
