Hi Tony I'm a newbie and recently bought on D. Consum supermarket is on B sector so that would be the nearest. I thought it was very well stocked and has fresh meat counters and fruit and veg all looked fresh. I don't know about the cheapest. There is a Lidl in the port. There is a small shop in the triangle if you are craving certain items from the UK such as Heinz baked beans etc. I got hubby tins of strongbow from there so he was happy and they were less than the price of what we pay here from our local shop.
There is a secondhand car dealer on Camposol A.
Seems to have plenty of cars.
Thanks Roland

Hi Tony depends on the size of the property. Our vendors paid ibi for our 2 bed Rebecca bungalow and was €180 for the year I believe. Electric would depend on consumption and if you have heaters and air con etc. Gas bottle refills are cheap. Around €15 ish. Bank charges can be high. Obvo there are lawyers fees. Our house and contents insurance was about €120

Add 12% on top of your agreed price ..to cover legal /purchase tax/land registration and so on...you will need a car whatever sector you buy on ...you will be shocked at the price of second hand cars they tend to be around 3 times more than the UK with extremely high mile's... I don't know why this is as new cars like for like are approximately the same price as the UK.
