Hi. Just waiting for our visa which should arrive this week coming hopefully then heading down to Spain to our new home on sector B, We did everything independently with regards the visa, so If there is any questions you have regarding visas or buying, just shout, we'll be happy to help anyo...

...ne wanting to making the same decision.

Life style and weather for us was the driver,  we did research of different areas being inland and more coastal but price and location meant we always came back to camposol.

What we would say is know what angle your coming into Spain on.ie selling a UK home or cash buyers, mortgage, already have a holiday home.. Therefore you can plan a path without being bombarded with things u don't need to know.

For us buying in spain with our solicitors has been a breeze, not one bit of stress. Selling our home in the UK gave us no end of stress and frustration.

All the best,

JBT x

Great to hear you happy in camposol still looking to retire there end of year but would be renting . Just feel a bit intimidated by the amount of change involved and culture shock but love spanish weather and lifestyle

Well, we've been here since last August and just about to read do our visa application for the following 2 year's. Spain in general is very British so you'll never be far from that so don't worry about isolation etc. It will be a change but so far for us, we have a cheaper, healthier, relaxed pace of life and hope it continues for the foreseeable. If we can help at all just as, we're happy to help 👍👍

Thanks for your reply sounds like your having a great time .Am hoping this week to start our visa application which looks very daunting but will take it one step at a time not planning on moving until december/January so plenty time to prepare our documents .Do you have private healthcare or are you retired just wondering if english speaking doctors available .Is it easy to find long term rentals generally and roughly how much would you expect to pay say in the murcia area for small apartment with balcony in a nice area .Thanks in advance any help appreciated

Hello. Unfortunately we never rented here so unsure what that would be. We do see people asking alot online for long terms let's so it's quite common.  Yes we have medical health insurance which meets the visa application. We pay around 1500 euros for 2 annually, no pre existing.. Where we live the doctors speak English as its private, which yours will be also presumably, The application seems daunting but we did it so it's very doable. We are just going to start our renewal application as we've been here a year almost so this next one gives us 2 year's here in Spain.

Just remember if your selling a uk home  to come here, not to move in the months Jan to mid July for tax reasons. If you need to know why just ask.

We are moving over from Scotland in September we have bought a great villa in D..

My wife is Irish so coming in on EU freedom of movement.

Section D is great for us quiet and great views.

Decent price with pool.

Lots of paperwork but we’ll worth it.

Planning to do the same, wife British and me Belgian. Hoping to find something to rent first whilst buying on A or B to be near the shops.

Exciting times ahead. We live on B and think it's great. Beaches of Bolnuevo are fantastic and only 15 mins away. Weekly markets of totana and alahama are great for fruit vegables, and only 15 to 20 mins away. would recommend those. 👍👍
