The property we want to buy is wired and plumbed inside the Villa but not connected to mains electric or water, does anyone know how much it costs to get the electric and water companies out  do these jobs done? TIA

It's not as easy as you think ...if the house has had the meters remove you will need to get your lawyer to have any dept that is outstanding  cleared...and then have the services changed over on to your name ...if no dept is owed then it will be just connection fees to pay ...this will be around €750 for both but it could take up to 2 months before you are up and running... Personally I would insist that the owner gets them reconnected when you put the deposit down...as dealing with utility companies can be very difficult.

Hi and thanks for the reply, the property is a new build and has never been connected to mains water or electric, so is the fees you quoted for them to put the mains and fit the meters? regards

The price I quoted was for a straight forward reconnection... If its a builder's repo it could well be that you have no electric or water mains or soil pipes ...you should you should have these checked out first.

thanks for the reply but it's not a reconnection, it's to get the services actually installed, sewer is connected but no water or electric

Walk away from this ...you have other properties on Camposol that are up for sale that are ready to move into ...(you have been warned).

Does the property have a Habitation Certificate, you'll need this to get the utilities connected. As Frequent Flyer says, walk away!!

Only properties on sector A have habitation certificates as the council refused to issue them and I know they do the connections without the cert, just need a ball park figure for what it is going to cost

If that is the case then you need to engage a architect... for professional advice ...the architect will get you all the Price's/License you require ...you will not get this information on hear.good luck anyway.
