Thanks very much for your reply.  We're going to come over to stay and have a look at properties. What type of villa are you talking about? We had been looking at the rebecca do you think these would be small for fulltime living? I know it will be our decision but would like an opinion from ...

...someone who lives here.  Thanks a mil

We have friends who live full time in a Rebecca and others in a Fortuna (essentially a detached Rebecca) and they are happy with their homes. We looked at buying a Fortuna but chose to buy a Rosa for the slightly bigger living space, bigger master bedroom with en-suite and 2nd toilet/shower room. The fact that we got it for a silly price helped our decision 😂. Bear in mind that there is not a lot of room for storage space for tools, bikes etc, unless the underbuild can be utilised or there is room for a shed maybe.

Thanks very much for your reply.  Do you mind me asking which sector you live on

We are on D16 so a good long way out from the bars and shops and we love it. Peaceful apart from any party's going on and that is not too often. 3 cars a day down our road is a busy one😀.

Thanks. That sounds ideal. If you want to go for a drink how do you get to the other sectors that is if you take a drink

We drive and I stick to "sin" cerveza or diet coke. Or share a car with friends and a designated driver will take their turn.  Never been a one for session drinking so not a problem to drive anywhere for a night out. Boring for some but it suit us.

Hi, we are permanent residents on A, as are our neighbours on three sides. We have an extended Fortuna (top box of large bedroom and en suite) on a large plot with pool which we were  lucky to able to buy at a very good price. However, properties on A tend to be more expensive as it has been adopted by the council. That said, there are still bargains to be had here and on B but use a reputable estate agent. Have to say, when looking, we found D to be too far out from amenities and too quiet for us.

Hi thanks for your reply.  Do you find it very busy in the summer months with holiday makers as in rentals not property owners?  It's very confusing you get more for your money on D and it sounds lovely and quiet but I'd be worried like you it might be too quiet and the distance to amenities also.  We would love if the amenities were within walking distance. We cant have everything so I know we'll have to compromise but its what to compromise on.  We plan on coming over for a week when things settle and take a look at different properties

Can you tell me who are the reputable estate agents please?  I've seen Mercers recommemed alot. Thanks

To my knowledge almost 50% of the properties are resident

We bought ours through 2LET2SELL2BUY and cannot fault their service. We had also arranged some viewings with Mercers but some of the ones we wanted to see were sold before we could see them. They did not notify us: I only found out because the properties were no longer on the website, so I rang them.

Yes, things get busy when holiday people are over, especially in the evenings, so many residents like us just avoid the bars, etc in the busy months and go to the port for example to eat out.
