general costs of buying and process
Hi All myself and family have just bought a fabulous villa on sector C and would like to give you some general ponts on the process and what it involved.
We chose to buy on sector C as this was best location for what we needed. Initial cost of the villa was 57,000 euros total cost including taxes ect was 64,500 euros which also included having the noterary signed off in the UK by a solicitor. We bought our property through Mercers and would highly recommend Cristina she is a star. She showed us the areas of subsidance and also informed us that mercers only sell properties undamaged and with all legal documents which was reassuring. We went through PALS solicitors based in Mazzaron for all legal and buying process who also stated that they would not exchange contracts or funds if all legal documents were not available. Again would highly recommed as Tanya spoke english and kept us informed every step of the way. Also had property survey completed which total 150 euro by antonio martinez very professional spoke very good english and showed us photos on skype. We transfered money through transferwise who have the best rates and only took 2 days to transfer.
The whole process from paying 3000 euro deposit to secure the villa to organising our mortgage in the UK to pay for the villa took around 2 months total.
Camposol is a bit like marmite... we would advise you to talk to as many people as you can and make your own mind up. Its not as bad as what some people make out. It has all the amemities close to hand and some amazing villas and views from the roof tops. As people speak english its easy to set up all utilities like wifi ect.
