Hello this is my first time on here.

We have just reserved a 3 bed Neptune on Sector A with the hope to holiday then retire there in 3 years when 55. That’s the master plan anyway.

We know the area as we have a property on Condado that we are now selling and have had for 11 years.

Would anybody be able to help me with monthly costs for Neptune - bills, pool cleaning, taxes etc for me and my wife. We assume that in winter when the pool is covered there is no costs but absolutely no idea about how and when pools need cleaning.

Are there any community fees - I believe not but just double checking?

Condado was easy just lock up and go so we are a little nervous but sure it will all work out. We plan to holiday a few times a year before making a permanent move.

We Would also like to bring our dogs (cockapoos) over at some stage to get them passports . Would a 14 day trip be enough time to sort this?
Regarding property prices we think we have paid a good price but can only go off others that are for sale. Is there a site in Spain that provides previous sold prices like the UK?

Thanks for any information.

Difficult questions to answer.

1) are you planning on buying a netune. ( reserved)

2) taxes vary.

3) dogs, sorry can't tell you, haven't got one.

4) pool, they do need maintainence all year regardless of covers, looking after your pool is as important as looking after your property, otherwise not worth having one.

5) i don't believe community fees exist anywhere on camposol.

6) if you believe you paid the right price for anything leave it at that.

7) we did the same thing, and also have a property on condado, still, dont regret anything.

8) look forward to hard work, were busier now than when we were working.

Thanks Gary - just returned from holiday and lost my phone so logging in via wife’s.

Yes we have bought or reserved a Neptune.  I will have to look deeper into the pool cleaning and costs as it will need looking after while we are not there. The pool is a maintained at the minute so can hopefully find out who is doing it currently.
We will holiday a few times year until hopefully moving full time in maybe 3 years.

Will be a change from Condado which we have loved but we decided we couldn’t live on Condado in such a small property. Plus we see it more like a holiday resort and e can always pop back up.

Hi Darren.

Much the same as us, however we kept ours on in the hope prices may rise, but its slow right now.

We were also hoping to rent, that also hasn't been that fruitful, and the taxes you pay from minimal renting doesn't work out beneficial annually.

But you also get taxed heavily if you sell a property and do not by another in spain, so they have got you always when it comes to taxes.

Very clever.

However we are happy and settled on our area on camposol .

Please let know when you find out who is maintaining your pool currently, i may be able to give you choices, possibly better.

G.
