Looking for advice on what's the best/ most efficient way of heating a detached classico, we have a large underbuild so we could have heater/boiler and possibly have radiators fitted with the pipe work in the underbuild or log burner or air conditioning.

Any advice would be appreciated TIA

We've recently installed a pellet burner in our Rebecca on Camposol C2.

Very happy with it.

The only downside for me is humping the bags of pellets up from the underbuild. Easier than shifting logs though. :)

We used the existing flue hole from the old gas fire. The pellet burner flue went up inside it. :)

I demolished the old brick built fireplace. A little replastering and some new coving was required.

The installer has done several burners with the flue going through an outside wall. One of my neighbours has one. It looks good.

Some friends on A have an 8kw pellet burner which heats their whole classico efficiently. It is fitted through the outside wall into their glassed in verandah and so a couple of metres of pipe heat the verandah a little too. Downside bought and fitted from local firm not very good job done and 1800 euros all in.

I too have fitted a 7kw pellet stove. It cost me 350 pounds from uk and pipes and chimney cost aboit 200 euro from Leroy Merlin Murcia. But i fotted it correctly with air intake and insulated chimney to avoid tar distillation and as advised by manufacturer to avoid risk of carbon monoxide . I liked the tidiness of straight.out through the wall but in retrospect the flue taken out at ceiling level would have added heat to the room.

Now its cold a bag of pellets €3.45 in recent 15% off sale  same place normally 3.99 or 4.25 from Visanfer Mazarron. lasts about 3 days in a Rosa, but we dont heat 24hrs a day just say 7 - 9 am  and 4 to 10 .30 in eve. We sre pleased with it and comfortable. It is totally programmable so nice to wake up to warmth and very little ash or mess. Very clean in fact. 6 heat settings. Simple to operate once you get your head round it.

My first pellet burner but wholehrartedly recommend it.

Leroy Merlin have some good deals and can provide a fitter. No one wanted to fit mine including the 2well known firms in the area and no wonder when you see what they charge for stove and half day fitting. I would add that the fitting I saw was unsafe on several counts only had single skin tube and 90 degree bends that could inhibit efficiency and reliability of the stove or in fact have danger of carbon monoxide.

You pays yer money and takes yer choice😊

Hi Tony where did you get your replacement coving from? If you don't mind me asking.

A plaster item supplier on the road into Totana. It's on the left. I can't remember the name. I'll try to find it.

I bought 3 x 1 mtr lengths. Very cheap.Less than 5 Euros. He knew exactly what I wanted, when I showed him a broken piece.
