Hi been looking at buying on camposol, we have been looking at the neptuno style villas, we have been staggered at the price difference for these villas, for example there are a few with private pools for around €90k then the same villas for upwards of €180k with the same size plots, also the cheaper ones look better than some of the most expensive ones, can anybody shed some light on this as we are baffled

What estate agents on Camposol has a Neptuno with a decent size pool with the gardens and surrounding walls Finnish / air conditioning / fully furnished / all white goods and maintained to a high standard...I have never seen one for €90,000 on Camposol...the majority are priced around the €135,000 upwards for a nice one on a 300 MTR plot ...the same well maintained villa on a 600 MTR plot will cost you €165,000 upwards...I think you should get on a plane and have a look yourself and you will come to the same conclusion...I do know of one person that bought a Neptuno on a 300mtr plot .. around 3 year's back for €75,000 at auction when Masa the builder's went bankrupt ..he has since spent nearly €40,000 having it brought up to living standard ..this included having a pool built /garden walls/ all white goods/ furniture and so forth...ps if you are looking at a Monsura villa that has been striped out ...it will cost you around €25,000 on top of the asking price to put it right...this is without a pool if you are talking about a pool this will cost another €20,000.

We looked into a couple of sub 100k neptunos last year when looking to buy, the only ones then were on small plots (c 250 m3) and in need of a lot of tlc to repair/replace worn out decor and features. Also felt that getting to the solarium through  the 3rd bedroom on roof was possibly not ideal. For my own selection criteria the lack of usable underbuild with those neptunos sent us looking at Rosa style places. Keep hunting you'll find one to suit I'm sure. Do agree with FF though, for all the research online a visit in person is essential to see all those things missed on the estate agents blurb. We had a shortlist of places to see and on visiting that pretty quickly dropped to just one😊

I don't need to look on the net ...I have owned a villa on Camposol for the last 12 years ...and I will state again you will not buy a Neptuno with a pool for €90,000 ..that does not require some serious work done... it's ok for you to say you seen them on the net you have got to look at them by getting yourself over to Spain .. personally if I thought I could buy a luxury 3 bed 3 bathroom villa with a pool for €90,000 I would be on the next plane myself...we also have 2 types of Neptunos  we have the Neptuno delux which is larger than the basic Neptuno ..the larger Neptuno is easy to identify when you go upstairs to the bedroom you will have 2 patio doors leading to the roof terrace and the bedroom is twice the size of the basic Neptuno with only 1 patio door leading to the roof terrace.

When I religiously watched A Place in the Sun I really wanted to stay there and have one of these houses. Anyway had a viewing trip in January and we bought a beautiful villa with  pool in Fortuna Nr Murcia. The price was amazing. We only plan to go in the winter. Sometimes your mind changes once you are out there. Good luck whatever you do.
