Pagoda eyesores
One of the advantages of having a solarium is to be able to look at the lovely surrounding Mountain ranges.
Unfortunately people feel the need to blot the landscapes by building wooden pagoda structures. What a terrible eyesore.

But what was the landscape like before the houses were built, think about it

Unfortunately you can never guarantee your view will stay the same unless your property is on the slope of a hill or mountain! You don't legally have any rights to the view either, that's the downside of living in such a built up area. At least they are wooden structures and not the metal and plastic ones.
Agreed a right eyesore on our part of A.
Every time a house changes hands a shed or some structure goes up.......& it never seems to get used & the roof terraces are not used either.
We spend most of our time on our roof terrace.
I don't suppose any of them have permission for these structures either.

What permission is required providing it isn't bricks and mortar, most pergolas and sheds are either wood or plastic

I wonder what they would say if someone built one that obscured their view!

"What permission is required providing it isn't bricks and mortar" I don't think the material changes anything - what if you built a two-storey house of wood? Any permanent feature needs permission and licence.

Moan of course, but there's nothing you can do about it. Happens in England all the time and a lot of residents in my village now have to look at a 41metre high warehouse for imported Italian Pasta!!! Council couldn't care less.
I suppose it's a matter of consideration for others!
