I posted this a few days ago but can't find the post to link you to it so just copied & pasted !!

I had my pellet stove stove fitted by Neil Broadridge of Solpellet.

Excellent job, reasonable price & a good clean tidy worker.

He will come out & tell you all there is to know about pellet stoves & can show you pictures of the hundreds he has fitted.

My stove is a 7kw stove & heats my whole small villa. I had a small curved stove fitted as I had very limited options as to were the stove could be sited.

Costs were roughly 1800.00 euro for the stove including 400 euro fitting a year ago.

Running fairly hot for 6.5 hours its consumes approx 6kg of pellets.

Hopper holds approx 13kg of pellets.

Cost of pellets is 3.99 per 13kg bag at Leroy Merlin Cartagena ( you can do the maths !! )

This is the cheapest I can find them. Other people supply & deliver them but obviously they are more expensive probably around 4.99 per bag delivered.

Running as above the stove needs cleaning out every 4 days approx, there will be around 2 good cupped handfuls of very fine dust to remove.

Best thing to use for cleaning is a vacuum.

The only downside to the stove is that it uses a fan to blow the hat out & this can be a bit noisy. The fan is a 1kw fan so that has to be factored in to any costings really.

HTH

Hi Roland,

I’ve just seen your post regarding pellet burners and would be grateful if you could let me have the details of the chap who fitted yours, as this is something we want in the future.

Many thanks,

Best regards,

Kathy

If you are fit enough then you cant beat a log burner imo 😉
