Someone has told my husband that if you do any diy that you have to get permission for this , is this true as we are thinking of buying a property on Camposol , this year if everything goes well. any help would be much appreciated

You can do as much DIY as you want ...as long as you don't make alterations to the structure .. inside or outside...if you want to make alterations to the structure you need planning consent.

Totally agree, DIY no problem, just do not build any thing, alter any structure, or the favourite, alter the under build into living area.

Another favourite, glazing in balconies, porches etc(makes them habitable rooms.
