Hi Lovely People

Hi,
Almost all work requires planning permission I have been informed.
It is always best to check first, as it will not be long before the Council starts checking properties for work carried out without permission.
I gained this advice from the Council when I asked about covering in a area on the roof.
Hi mate Did you get permission ?
To be honest, all I got was no one knows what to say.
So I have written a letter and awaiting a reply with notice I will go ahead if no concerns come back, that was about 4x weeks ago.
Since then I was informed by a builder, that if it is not a permenant structure, it needs no planning permission, but what do the Spanish class a permenant structue?
I do not want to be caught out when they start to inspect Villas as I am informed will happen.
Please let me know if you find out anything different.

Hi graygray, you do need permission to enclose a Fortuna front verandah . (glass sliding doors type enclosure). - It is classed as a project by the Council, and permission costs approx. €300 if you apply yourself. If however, they insist on an architect doing it for you, because detailed drawings are needed, it will cost approx. €500. - Best employ a reputable company to ensure permission is actually granted as Camposol is on the council blacklist for permissions at the moment. The fines are crippling for non compliance, - unless you just do it, and don't get found out for 4 years. A non-permanent structure of any kind is one which you can dismantle every night ! Been there, done that.

graygray, I would use martinezdelacasa.com - architects, certificates, planning permissions etc. Professional, speeedy service , and speak good English ( if your Spanish is ropey.) For the enclosure I used Marsan. - don't advertise much but been in business for years. They are situated on the roundabout commercials down bottom end of Mazarron pueblo opposite the large Mercadona. They are not cheap, but still wanted to give me a quote for re.arranging my enclosure 10 years later.
That’s
