You can buy on Camposol for under £60,000, just look at the properties on the market now, and that's before an allowance for any price drop?  However, you should still use present prices as being the same as near future prices.... nobody knows and not worth getting exited about as a buyer, ...

...yet.

Thanks zacdog

As zacdog states there are properties from 45k or so and up, those will likely be clasicos and fiestas. We thought these too small as We needed somewhere to store our large cd and dvd collections as well as all my diy and sports gear so we started looking at Rebeccas and upward. Terraced Rebeccas...

... seem to be starting at 56k at the moment. We bought a solid but unaltered Rosa with huge underbuild last year at a fantastic discount of 18k off asking price, so chance your arm and bid low, you never know.

Cheers philtox , 👍

Looking at this question from the other side of the coin:

We purchased an apartment in 2018.

The upsetting for me came when we signed the contract:

The owner brought it 2005 for € 147.000 with a mortgage

He sold it 2018 for € 92.000.

I felt really sorry for him.

Just how would you feel if you would be the seller?

Eraser, I feel you have got the wrong idea Im not looking to feed of someone’s misfortune I was just asking question.

Sellers sell, buyers buy.... 2 different heads my friend,  no room for compassion, that's the nature of the beast I'm afraid!!

Hi, we have just put in an offer subject to a positive viewing on a property and secured it at €25000 below asking price (€59000) but not in Camposol (understanding the risk of losing the €3000 deposit if we dont have a positive viewing). Our max budget was £55000 and put in a £52500 offer which was a accepted! I think it depends on your plans for the future and the property usage. We are going to use it as our holiday home initially and look at extended stays or permanent residence once I retire (I am a little younger than my hubby). The property market is hit and miss irrespective of COVID-19. I feel it is certainly a buyers market at present with inherent risks associated with any purchase. Good luck.with your decision and hope you find somewhere.

Excuse me, but are you actually saying the asking price was 59k and you offered 25,2k BELOW and it was accepted?

Come on, pull the other one!

What I'm saying is it was on the market for 85000euro and we offered £52500 (59000Euro) and it was accepted.

You done extremely well getting €26,000 of a property that was up for sale at €85,000 ... taking the property down to €59,000 =£52,000  ...as a previous poster said you might get this kind of reduction on a €250,000 property on Camposol ...but I doubt very much if you would get €26,000 off a €85,000 property on Camposol ..not without it having some issues to sort out.
