Hi Phil I’m not resident yet I bought in nov got my nie but could get out there due to covid so missed the the dec deadline so I have the house but that’s it then everything went tits up so hopefully it will all get sorted I believe Portugal is looking at changing the 90 day rule back to 180 for brits and if they do every one will just go them so me thinks if they do Spain will have to otherwise they’ll loose millions in Brit expat revenue to Portugal so I think it’s a waiting game for now but will all be more or less the same pre brexit 🤞

That's terrible for you having to delay due to Covid and no real end in sight for that, the Portugul 180 day does seem hopeful & Spain will have to follow suit but the whole Brexit deal is going to stop people buying in the EU which could affect property prices, my main concern at the moment is the car ownership but I'm sure as the solicitor said in the you tube post we need to sit tight and wait but it's so frustrating, good luck in your move to Spain.

Have you looked at the Facebook site "180 days in Spain" which covers the challenging of the 90/180 rule

Hi Paul

The Facebook 180 days site is where I read about non residence and driving in Spain by a guy called Bob Lomis which hopefully he has confused with the residents having to change there UK Licence to Spanish which I can't argue with as there were lots of people driving around in UK registered cars while living full time in Spain.
