As I originally stated

"I believe the council have not adopted Camposol, and there are various discussions going on I believe through the CRA, when resolved this could increase your monthly cost considerably."

If the council did throw masa off the site they did very well out of it, because Masa gave them land which the then sold and the money, again "I believe" was spent developing the sports center going into the port.

I also understood that the council had adopted sector A but again I am possibly wrong however this dose not diversify from the fact that if it is not adopted and an entity is formed it would unfortunately increase monthly or yearly costs.

As I said in my previous mail this situation has been going on for many years and is a very unfortunate situation hanging over the head of many residence and a lot of work for the CRA which has for many years been fighting the cause.

Yes many people in high places made a lot of money, previous mayor on charges of fraud, Spain first King, eight hundred million in a of shore account, what do you expect when money flows through the hands of of the greedy and bent.

Camposol will have ongoing fights long after we are all gone, but the fantastic community will win through and care for each other.

The gardens parties like B Clean today, what a great job they are doing, will put themselves out to make Camposol look good, the community will support those who need it most, and all will do what they can to make it a great place, a great deal of people make a lot of money out of working on Camposol, and should remember to put some thing back, as some do.

Yes if we have to pay a bit more, ( I think it is about 70 Euro four times a year, ( so I was told ) so be it, yes some will not like this, some will have to find the extra, but the rewards are worth it, if not, then simply stop paying it.

We must remember we are in a country that will not spend money on ex pat communities, and even less now, and will try and find ways to get more out of us, just look at the bank charges creeping in.

So I am sorry to say, if it does not suit people, it may be time to go home, my opinion only, harsh words, but the truth.

I praise those doing all they can to fight for us, and Camposol, but many cannot be bothered, and the turn out at the last voting proved this, it was a sad result, but could have been fantastic for us all if all had bothered.

Thank you for agreeing with my original post.

I was only pointing out a possible situation that could arise, and you have confirmed this.

Not sure if this will help or not but here goes anyway...

We purchased a holiday home on D 5 years ago after doing a lot of research. We found a lot of negativity but after further investigation determined that this was almost totally historical with a couple of solicitors rehashing emails as part of their strategy to win compensation for the few who had suffered

When we visited we found Camposol to be a thriving neighbourhood with lots of friendly helpful people. Our location is very quiet, what we wanted, and we have residents on all sides so we feel comfortable that the property is monitored in our absence

We feel it is the best thing we have done and look forward to our trips to Camposol which have become longer over the years

We used Mercers to purchase who have their bespoke solicitors and lawyers, who all speak English, to ensure everything required is done correctly in line with the law

Obviously under Covid and Brexit there are changes but we have never considered selling

Wow - great and interesting answer. Good to hear such a "normal" resident thoughts.

I read that the houses actually don't have a certificate of habitation (which I understand that is a must in order to sell (and perhaps to live in...? I'm not sure)).

Do you have the certificate of habitation? Do you have your Escritura in your name? How long did it take to receive the Escritura?

Thanks again!

When everything was completed, including the switching of utilities, we were actually back in England. We gave a POA and everything was done for us and everything is still held for us by the solicitors

Photocopies were sent to us as requested

What do you mean only photocopies, and held for you at the lawyer? If you bought many years ago, you should have had the deed in your hands, I believe. It's yours, right?

Can you explain this?

We asked for photocopies at the time because we were in England. We decided rather than visit the solicitor and collect the documents when we returned, and possibly lose them or have them damaged or even stolen, we would leave them in the ade keeping of the solicitors

Simply our option

Good on you, Camposol is a great place, fantastic community, and the present status proves it.

Yes there are those who knock us, but cannot beat us for friendship, support to each other, and help when needed, and just to prove it, look at the people who had a 3000 Euro water bill, not their fault, and the community got together and helped them sort it , thats Camposol for you, bloody fantastic community.

If everyone sticks together, we can make things work for all of us, and have a great future, it is possible without doubt, but we must all help look after our community, even if its as little as clearing up area,s picking up rubbish, de weeding, sweeping up, every little bit helps.

And next time the council voting takes place, every possible person on Camposol must get out and vote, no excuses, and lets get many councilors voted in for us, we need a big voice on the council, its up to all of us.

Sorry to go on, but what we need is achievable, and we must go for it.

Hi Citizen Kane,

Not sure if you will get many responses to your query as it’s a bit vague.

Property on Camposol is great value and if you like it here, it’s also great to have your own place in Spain. We bought a two bedroom on lower C and it’s fine. Not had any problems other than the odd bit of maintenance or buying new bits of furniture etc.

I know there have been some historic problems in some areas, but if your careful that shouldn’t be a problem. If it’s for sale for silly money ask why. We think it’s great and couldn’t get what we have anywhere else.

If you want value for money & affordable it’s here, but check the area as well, you need to be happy here.

Hi

My husband and I are in the process of narrowing down properties and areas to visit as soon as the UK comes out of lockdown and Spain allows visitors.  We like the look and feel of what we see in Camposol in particular Rosa and Neptune style houses.  I saw from a previous post suggestions to look at the area before committing.

The internet and Google are great but to get some first hand feedback and even places to look at remotely would be a great help to us.  Thank you Sarah and Chris
