Hands are cracking open due to washing. So bad and stings. I have found hand conditioner is hurting and stinging due to the open cracks of skin whilst looking after grandparents and children.

The aloe Vera plant is helping as i have used it on sun burn before on grandparents. The top outer layer is useless and the 2nd layer of film is poison but after that the soft flesy inside is great for skin repair. Hope this helps

Hi Sammylouise

Yes aloe vera is excellent and if you put a little veg oil, ie, sunflower has high Vit e content or olive oil on top of the aloe vera whilst still damp it will seal it in and definitely wont sting. It will also speed up your healing and moisurising process.

Also do this at bedtime with some cotton gloves on, works wonders.

Regards

Pauline.

If you can get some O'keeffs working hands, that will solve the problem.  Available from Amazon

Yes Geoff its very good, but bit expensive and Sammylouise would have wait delivery, sunflower oil has the highest concentration of vitamin e which will sink into the skin and seal in the aloe vera. It doesnt appear she has returned to follow up since posting and if she has used my recommendation for past 5 days she would now have beautiful moisturised hands. We,ll wait and see

Thanks for the vegetable oil, very good and i am u now using vegetable oil after a layer of aloe Vera 💗 the gloves i remember from a 70's vogue magazine edition.

There was a character in benidorm sitcom who used vegetable oil ob her face instead of sun screen, was that Madge in the motor wheel chair?

Wasnt sure you had even read my reply as it was several weeks ago, but glad you have tried it and should have soft moisturised hands by now and so cheap, just little disappointed my reply didnt warrant a helpful tick though.
