Moving over to Camposol next year and both of us need our medications. Anyone know how we go about getting the meds we’re already on?

if you are uk state pensioners you need an S1…register with a doctor and get a prescription…if you have private health cover you will have to see a private doctor and pay full price …some meds you can buy over the counter quite cheaply

You need to speak to your private health provider every one has a different process.

Assuming you are applying for your Non-Lucrative Visa, then you will need to purchase private healthcare as part of the process. I advise that you shop around for the best prices, as they can vary widely, especially if you have pre-existing conditions.

The healthcare provider should then be able to tell you which doctors they partner with that are close to where you live. You can then register with that doctor and I would suggest show them your UK prescription, so they can provide enduring Spanish prescriptions, for which you will pay the full market rate. Some medications are available without prescription, but obviously you still need to pay for them. You may not get the same brands as the UK, but the generic medication should be available.

Hope this helps!
