Hi all

My wife and I are looking to buy a property early next year. We need to apply for a visa and need heath cover. My wife has COPD so I need to ensure that if needed, she will be able to receive required meds / treatment.

Any recommendations for cover would be appreciated and some idea of cost involved?

Cheers

Glen and Ann

There are various insurance companies - we are with ASSSA, wife has existing medical condition this is not covered by insurance nor is the medication. You will have to possibly pay for the medication for COPD - there could be some insurance policies that may include the medical condition, could be expensive.

Wife goes to the local farmacia and orders her medication. One particular medicine is €140, the other is less than €9.00. Would be worth getting 3 months worth from UK doctor if you can.
