The vfa is the association of research-based pharmaceutical companies published today 02/02/2020:

This is an excerpt from it:

When can I expect a vaccine?

Three companies are already using the option of a "rolling review" from the EMA, in which they submit the chapters of the application for approval on the previous animal tests and subject studies before the results of the phase III study are available. This will reduce the time it takes for the EMA to subsequently evaluate the vaccine once it receives the Phase III results. These are the companies BioNTech / Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca. So far, the developers of a vaccine have been able to report final evaluations on the effectiveness against a symptomatic Covid 19 infection from their phase III study: BioNTech / Pfizer. Moderna and AstraZeneca have presented the results of corresponding interim evaluations, which, however, are to be followed by further evaluations. For other companies, interim results on effectiveness are expected in the coming weeks and months. Together with data on a median two-month follow-up of the vaccinated with regard to tolerability, the final evaluation results can be used to complete rolling submissions of approval documents. Once the approval process has been successfully completed, the vaccines could then be used. How quickly vaccination campaigns progress depends not least on how quickly and how much vaccine can be produced. For large vaccination campaigns, it is therefore not so important which vaccine is approved first, but that as many vaccines as possible achieve approval and can be manufactured using many production facilities ………

......In the UK, on the other hand, the establishment of the Vaccine Manufacturing and Innovations Center in Oxfordshire is being accelerated. This non-commercial facility is expected to produce a vaccine against Covid-19 from the end of 2021. It is partially financed by the state, with the companies Janssen, MSD and Cytiva as supporters.

The targets for production are high. For example, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) plans to produce 1 billion vaccine doses. Sanofi and GSK are also planning to produce 1 billion vaccine doses. Moderna and Lonza expect to be able to deliver around 20 million vaccine doses by 2020 and between 500 million and 1 billion vaccine doses in 2021. BioNTech / Pfizer expect to be able to deliver 50 million vaccine doses in 2020 and up to 1.3 billion vaccine doses worldwide in 2021. With the existing production facility, CureVac sees itself able to deliver several hundred million cans annually; and another plant is still to be built will. AstraZeneca plans to deliver 4 million vaccine doses to the UK by the end of 2020 and 100 million vaccine doses in 2021.
