HHello everyone
FFirst off, thanks for letting me join.
I am taking early retirement in February 2020 and am looking at going to live in Spain. This would be just for the winter at first. What I'd like to know is, my wife and I have type2 diabetes and are on medication. My wife also has an under active thyroid plus high blood pressure. Could anybody help with approximate health insurance costs please? I appreciate all help thank you.

At the moment the rules are If you stay in Spain less than 181 days within any twelve month period ...then you are not classed as a Spanish resident ..so you can use your UK. EHIC as you are classed as tourist .... providing your main residence is in the UK...I am not to sure what will happen after BREXIT ...I would not like to put a price of private health care with all your ailments ..so let's hope the EHIC works for you both.
Okay. The cost is the only thing putting me off.
