Boris Johnson  has formally signed the EU withdrawal agreement, smiling as he described it as a “fantastic moment” for the country.

His enthusiasm came in sharp contrast to the sombre tone of EU officials, who earlier added their signatures to the document before it crossed the Channel

😀😁😀😁👍👍

Yes  he has signed the agreement saying the UK is leaving the EU. Other details have NOT been agreed. At the moment the only agreement we have, is that nothing changes until Dec 2020. Which is why no one really knows what is happening.

Oink

Those with Residency already in place by the end of the Transition Period will keep their current conditions and benefits.

The situation is unclear for those who seek Residency after the Transition Period concludes.

For these people

- continued reciprocal healthcare is not guaranteed

- the qualifying income requirement is unclear. Some people have looked at what Spain currently requires from those seeking Residency from outside of the EU (which is what Brits will be), and figures of 20k - 30k Euros per year per couple are realistic

I understand the rules very well. What is it YOU do not understand. Look at the requirements for those outside the EU. Why do you think the UK would be any different. If you are correct ( which you obviously think). Just tell me, where I look for the agreement. Every site says up until Dec 2020. Then it will depend on the agreement. Tell me where I can read the agreement. The ratified and signed agreement. I wait with baited breath

i know exactly what the requirements for non eu, but thats not what you said ,read bk, you were referring to this year,

30k for residency is utter crap, for eu member , which we still qualify,,

fact, €5,488 in murcia to date, or property titles,

you need proof of being resident before jan 2021, eg ,padron, rent contract, if no resident card , by jan ,

and still apply,

if you go through a solicitor, then you can get appointment quicker, but costs lot more .only apps in murcia

not lorca or cartagena  for brits

non eu visa

jan 2021 non eu is 24k plus 8k for spouse, irrelevent of brexit,

1 yr long stay non work  visa,1 yr private health, medical cert, police check,

2yr visa same 24k 2yr private health

2yr visa 24k 2yr private health

no covienio,

then resident

just do what others do and google ,instead of listening to that loose screw rattling in your head,

Thank you everyone for all you advice, We have decided to rent for 6 months towards the end of this year into next year and apply for non resident status, and also apply for the NI Card as well.

I will have to check how to do all this from London as I am still employed but planning on retiring very soon this year or maybe not if possible.,

Thank You All again,

Tom and Bernadette,

I think you need to look at CAB website..non residency? Also you can apply for an NIE but there is no card....and you can still only stay for 90days in 6 months!

Good luck. As I have said, contact the Spanish Embassy and get correct up to date information.

Hopefully see you here very soon.
