health insurance while waiting on residency and health card with the S1 form

what do people do for short term insurance while waiting for residency and health card.we are driving over on the 10th February and  i am worried about medical care while we are waiting for medical card, we are both  pensioners and will have S1 forms.

Any advice would be appreciated
