...ll the benefits that this brought them! Why would any country volunteer to pay the health care of people who have not paid into their system? The Spanish health system is funded by those who pay or have paid social security into the communal pot and is not like the UK system of attending to all and sundry on demand. Even the UK is finally stopping the uncontrolled use of the NHS by anyone and everyone arriving in the UK. The outcome of BREXIT was made clear to the UK population, before the Brexit vote and THIS is the result. Not Spain’s fault nor up to them to fork out for non-EU citizens’ health care! Whilst the moaning continues, Spain is welcoming citizens from other countries, many of whom are coming here under the rules of third countries and complying with them without complaint. It really is time to stop believing that British "ex-pats" keep the Spanish economy afloat all on their own!
