Hi everyone I am new to the forum and just thought I would introduce myself. I have been looking at Camposol for about a year and read many things, good and bad about living there. I feel a lot of the negative press has been blown out of proportion compared to the good and positive reports you see on this forum. We are coming over in May to view properties for sale and have a look at the area to decide whether or not to buy here. Could anyone please recommend an Estate agent that will help with the buying process?

Many Thanks

Martin

Spend a few weeks looking around mate and get a proper feel of the place. Most

Estate agents are much the same,(as anywhere) and they are all expensive with rates

up to 4% + VAT

And their after sales service is rubbish, I even had to take the For Sale sign down myself. Once they have your cash baby you are toast!!

We bought through Mercers and they were all very helpful .....no matter which agent you use add around 10% to the purchase price to cover all your fees .

We are here now doing the same as last year... all the agents we viewed with last year on here were good.... mercers, another world properties, luz de sol .. can't comment on after sales service. ...we are also looking at other places whilst here. ...alchazras bolenouveo. ..and a few more.... admittedly for us there I'd all we could wish for on sector A... B is also good ... have been advised against C for obvious reasons. .... sector D can't comment but it's guide away from most things....suppose it depends what you what to.do once you get here. ..good luck with the house hunting.x

Only had experience of Mercers whom we bought our Villa through and who are now selling it for us.  Purchasing, they were excellent - communication good and were flexible with the arrangements to see the Abogado as we couldn't make the first appointment.  They made us feel we could ask if we needed any further advice.  We are now looking to buy another on Camposol, all sectors considered.  When people say 'have been advised against C for obvious reasons' they should really say 'middle C' because ours is on C2 with no subsidence problems, in fact not every road on middle C suffers from subsidence problems either.

I'd rent first if I was you, as for estate agents ha, i'll say no more, I've been here nearly 14 years have moved twice so I think this house is third time lucky, have a good look around not just Mazarron, good luck

We bought through Mercers and could not fault them. they lined up a dozen or so properties over a weekend and drove us around the urbanisation in general to get a feel for the place. They were not pushy with us at all and would recommend them to anyone. We felt at the time that they had the biggest selection on Camposol. Another plus (which may be the same for other estate agents but do not know) is that they had established links with solictors, insures etc. who all spoke English that could help with the actual purchase if you went ahead

We bought on D specifically because it is very quiet and away from the centre but just a 5-8 minute drive and reasonably close to the golf club. Never fancied A at all but no real reason to support that..

Hi everyone

Many thanks for the replies here..very helpful. Could anyone tell me what the properties are like in winter. I have read some are only built for summer use and suffer damp in the winter months if occupied.

Many thanks

Martin

We bought last year through Paul at villa quest very helpfull before & after when we had problems getting keys returned. Looked at Camposol, Country club & Porte de Mazarron, we bought in the port in the end most people we talk to from camplosol / country club would like to live in the port. Some lovely properties in Camposol for the money. Look in all places. I would steer clear of Blue Med agents very pushy & be very careful what you buy from them if you do get an independant solicitor to check it out first heard alot of horror stories, ashame as they do have a lot of properties.

Its a wonderfull place good luck with your property search!
