I will try it out continuously for one month, taking out the known costs and try to live on the remaining dosh and see how I get on. It would be hard going, abstaining from drinking, driving.
FEM90 stopping drinking is good for the soul!!! Stopping driving will reduce your carbon footprint, I'd say congratulations on doing your part in saving the globe!! I'm sure you could treat yourself to a nice bottle of plonk each week!!!
Jaz007, I am not going to do any of those things. Live life to the fullest, that's what I say 😁😂

Paul75, I will recommend Camposolpropertysales.com
We bought our villa through him, very nice individual.
A word of advice, you must know which Sector you want your property from. Don't fall for hard sales talk.
You can get your desired property for under €80k or £80k. Do your research very well before approaching any estate agents.
Best of luck in your quest to joining us in Spain

Frequent flyer. Ah ah, you are including the variable fixed costs, such as phone, water, (more if you have a swimming pool), wifi electricity bills. Yes, it might be more than €150, if all the above mentioned to include food and social drinking as well.
Now, we are talking about real costing. But bear this in mind, Frequent flyer, we don't actually know how the others live. €150 might be just right for them when money is too tight to Mention....

Some of us just want to retire here peacefully and have a very quiet life, and aĺl being well and equal, €150 might just be right for them.
Your are crazy ..if you are even considering trying to live on €150 per week ..even if you own your property outright electricity in Spain is one of the most expensive tariffs in the EU ...the bill for this alone including meter rental and being extremely careful would come to approximately €40 per week..and when you start factoring in all the other basic thing's ..you would end up skint and standing outside Consum along side the other British Begger...I will say it again the only things that are cheaper in Spain is council Tax / none branded alcohol everything else is either more expensive or approximately the same price ..so start being honest with these people that a considering making the move .

Agree with you Gloria I’m living on much less than 15000 per year and married and able to run 4 cars and have 3 dogs and no credit cards or mortgage and would say 10000 is a more realistic figure. This does not include any holidays or much eating out.
€40 a week electric????
What you running? No way is these figures correct.
4 bedroom villa here with aircon throughout and pool. In the summer my electric is @€100 per month. I suggest you use iberswitch to get you the cheapest provider.
