Have you ever been to Camposol, if not as moving to Spain or any other country is a big thing in my opinion I think you should try before you buy, Camposol has everything you need for day to day living but it isn't without it's problems as are a lot of urbanisations, i have owned a property on Camposol for over 14 years and owned properties in other parts of southern Spain and I know where I prefer, as for the weather I find February to be the dampest month, rainy days differ from year to year, also bear in mind that nobody knows how brexit will affect us ex pat Brits, having said all that I would only return to UK kicking and screaming, good luck

I was one of the very first residents on Camposol and it can be a very good place to live if you have no experience of living in the real Spain.

Look around not just on urbanisations

Ssomeone on this site who was always praising Camposol and telling people how good it was and not to listen to other people, has just admitted he is selling his beautiful 3 bedroom villa with swimming pool on a 300mt plot to move to an urbanisation very near to Torrevieja which is in my opinion a concrete jungle.

Take your time there are many bargains to be found inland and by the coast.

Thanks for reply.   Urbanisation might suit us as like to mix n have neighbours.  Goin to look at rent for a few mnths tho n c how it goes.   Lot mixed reviews opinions etc on Camposol.    Folk telling me they r freezing in winter etc.    ?   Sum nice villas outside villages but tend to b by themselves ?  

Hi gillianmcl, I agree there are other places in Spain to look at and you SHOULD do your research. However, we’ve had a home here on Camposol for 16 years and wouldn’t consider anywhere else. Yes they can be cold, remember, they were only built as holiday homes. Having said that, not every house in Spain has the comforts of double glazing, cavity wall insulation etc. We’ve added central heating and on the occasions when it’s too warm for radiators but you need that little bit of warmth, a mobile gas heater does the job. Just make sure you find the house, location, and environment that suits you. Camposol is an extremely helpful community and it suits us to the ground. Good lick
