Hi we are thinking of buying a small property just to have as a winter home any places we should avoid
If you read back through similar posts you should see some scaremongers painting a horror story, ignore them and come see for yourselves, we did and viewed properties with both Mercers and Luz del Sol. Both were incredibly helpful and informative, highlighting all the plus and minus points of each sector as well as, despite some people's comments, the small number of properties they won't/can't sell due to structural/subsidence problems. We bought on D specifically because it was quite, others might not like that and prefern A or B to be near bars and shops, or C to be near the golf course.Come over for a week, hire a car and see all you can, browse the estate agents sites and build up some viewing lists to put to them, spend a couple of days out and about as well, get a feel for the whole area. Hopefully you will love it, we do 🏜
That's great info we live in Bulgaria so we love the peace and quiet but want to be near bars and places to eat out if we wish we love to bbq and have people round for food and drinks. We have been looking for a year or more but like you say best to come and see for our self's a bit scary not under standing the zones is there a map with zones on do you know looked but not found one but will ask mercers too should be able to help there I'm sure thank you again

If you can try and get a house where you can squeeze in a pool. Makes all the difference in the summer!
check this estate agent www.bluemedinvest.com I bought a house through them and Sabadell bank, as it was a bank repo back in 2017 on sector C6, there are many small houses for sale on C10 starting at 46000 euros, some plots are bigger than others, but you could easily fit a small pool if you wanted, and contrary to popular belief, they are ALL legally built by Monsora NOT Masa (sorry Masa owners) and they have habitation licences. so be sure to ask for them documents too before you buy, as some were built illegally.
Good luck, happy house hunting

Just had a look, Cheapest on this sector now seem to be about e63000, plenty of room for anything and a good spec. Were originally about 120,000. Fully legal. Seem like a bargain to me.

They are a bargain, I paid 109K euros for mine, apparently they were 265K off plan, fully legal, Purchased through the bank, habitation cert all in place, structurally sound, no damp, no cracks, had it valued 6 months ago at 195K by Mercers, so a good investment if you ask me. No regrets what so ever.

We bought on sector d back in May.There are some good ones to buy.We were lucky to find a property that was cared for & well maintained. Be careful not all are & some could be a money pit.The upside is that it is buyers market & there are a lot to choose from. Now I think is the best prices that there are.Im really happy with our purchase I did not want a project costing me time & money. Was the best thing retiring out here.Good luck.
