Hoping to buy a home in camposol

Camposol has 4 sectors (A, B, C & D)

There's a good business area on Sector B, with lots of bars / cafes, an Indian and a Chinese Restaurant. There are two European restaurants which are rather good. There is also a supermarket, a small convenience store (sells UK stuff) and the Correos (Post Office).

There is a Caixxa Bank branch, a petrol / diesel station and a Gym. 

C & D are quite a way from the shops on Sector B. In my opinion, personal transport is a requirement.

Sector C is in two parts. Lower C & Upper C. Lower C is closer to the shops on B and directly adjacent to the local Golf Course.

Part of Upper C is in my view a No No for purchasing. You will probably see some houses that have been greatly damaged by subsidence.
Most of Upper C seems to be OK, but I would advise a structural survey on any property.

Sector A has a small business area with a grocery shop, several bars & an Indian Restaurant. There's also a Butcher & a Ferreteria (DIY stuff). The local Medical Centre and Pharmacy are on Sector A.

Camposol sits astride a motorway, with Sector A on one side and the other three sectors on the other. There is a road bridge and a footbridge between them. 

There is easy and quick access via the motorway and mostly uncrowded roads (compared to the UK) to the nearby coast and other towns. The local Airport (RMU - Corvera) is only a gentle 45 minute drive away/. The nearest rail station is at Totana, which is about 10 miles.

My wife and I own properties on Sector A and Lopwer C.

I purchased off plan in 2002 and upgraded in 2007, just before the crash and prices have only now started to recover so good bargains to be had, my holiday home is on D sector, the best area, but you do need a car or other transport, even a bike if you are fit, the main supermarket on B, consum will deliver your groceries for a small fee, people are very friendly, the beach only a 10 minute drive, Murcia has a huge shopping centre on the outskirts called a condominium, hope I spelt that right,wide choice of places to eat on camposol and alan's on A stocks a wide variety of english food, although there is an english supermarket on B. Once the development is adopted by Mazarron it will be a better place to live, but OK at the moment if you can live with minor problems such as the roads and lighting on C and D

10 minutes to the beach, really??

At 250 mph?

Maybe!

But speed limits, car / motorbike capabilities & parking the car / motorbike render that somewhat unlikely!

Get on RM-3 in El Saladillo from Av. de los Covachos, C. Sierra de la Torrecilla and C. Cueva -el Saladillo

Continue on RM-3 to C. José y Juan Hernández Zamora/RM-D6

8 min (12.8 km)

Continue on RM-D6. Drive to Av. Pedro López Meca in Bolnuevo

I know, but what I meant is it's not far and a good road, maybe 10 mins as the crow flies and does depend on which sector you live

Personally I would say no more than 20 minutes once you leave Camposol 

We have had a holiday home on D for 7 years and are really pleased we bought. Like all places where "normal" people reside there are issues but for the most part the great community spirit prevails.

IMO, you have the best of both worlds as you are not in a tourist hot spot but equally you can get to the beach or other transport links very easily

Just remember, if you are not flying like a crow, you will need to obtain a Spanish driving licence if becoming resident. Not yet 100%, but you may have to take a theory and physical road test as exchanging licences is no longer possible as the law stands at the moment.
