House insurance - Page 2

Hi Guys 

New here, just wondering what the story is with non permanent occupancy insurance cover. Thinking of buying but house will be empty for long periods of time as I know terms of cover cease if unocipied for a period of time.

We are moving to camposol C sector in June and will need home medical and pet insurance is there anyone local that does all as a package please

Hi Angela, We shop around getting email and online quotes as pricea can vary a lot.  There's Ibex and Liberty Seguros on Camposol A and Peter Clarke posts on FB. We found Ibex were better priced this year so used them for home and car insurance. Not sure if they do pet insurance but they, as does DKV and Asssa, offer health insurance. When you consider health insurance, one of the things you need to take into consideration is where you can see Dr or get treatment. For example, with Asssa you can use the Healthcentre on A. With DKV, you need to go to Mazarron.

Google who covers houses in spain, I think segura, don’t let the bank do it as they charge about 400 euros, good luck

And banks are notoriously bad at paying out when you claim.

i am going through the process now figures vary from 140 to 250 for a 2 bed Rosa, note when calculating contents because in Spain the kitchen and bathroom fittings are classed as contents.
