Having just visited for the first time in 9 months I would argue that not only has the bridge been fixed but there is a noticeable improvement in the state of the roads. Also, on sector D, there have been council workers tidying up the sides of the roads and pavements which I have not seen before

Small steps, but certainly in the right direction IMO

Its a catch 22, Mazarron council has always said Camposol is nothing to do with them, so they should have nothing to do with the released bond, its not theirs.

Upon release of the bond, it should be placed in a seperate bank account, delt with by the CRA, but this will bring problems, as who decides what is spent on what....

...

No council appointed contractors should be given any work, as that enables the council to rip of the bond with costs of work.

All contactors must put up a seperate bond to secure and guarantee their work, and must bid for the contracts.

Yes it could take years to sort, but its a start.

The main thing again is, no bond money is placed in the Council bank.

We exist, and we are not going away, so Mazarron best get used to it.

First round won by us.

Well said,

but we all have to stick together and fight to the end for all to be completed to a good standard, no council contracts should be given with our money, they do not want to know us, so we should get our own contractors.

Its a shame that not all residents want to support Camposol, and that shows when we simply need 1000 signatures for Pedro to take forward for Camposol security. ( I was told its difficult because no one wants to put there NIE number down, WHY? well it was stated that many have not payed IBI for years, so could be traced ) only what I was told.

Many residents cannot even place rubbish in the bins, but throw it every where, and have no care for their own roads in being weed free .

Thank god for the gardens parties who do a fantastic job, but fight a loosing battle.

Look at B Clean on Tuesday, out in that heat, getting rid of over grown weeds, cleaning the round about, fantastic team, well done, shame others do not care.

A big well done for the photo of the contractor dumping rubbish on the campo, put out the vehicle number, lets all not use him, and to who ever put up the photo in the Consum car park of the Camposol thief we are all looking for, come on, more photo,s needed of the scum who wreck our community.

Must admit that I tend to agree with the comments about the NIE numbers. My feeling is that there are a number of "old school residents" who probably bought off plan many years ago for getting a "good deal". Just an opinion

Personally cannot believe that any council would give money a designated purpose and not use their own contractors. It is not "our money", simply funds allocated to us. Again, just an opinion

Still think that the CRA are doing a good job and things are moving forward so they should be able to get details of what has been spent, or is going to be, by the council so information can be given to those living on Camposol and it is the responsibility of the CRA to push for that information

Maybe I'm different than most people but I never really agreed with the advice to rent first for a number of months before buying. Although I get the idea behind it I don't really see the benefit. When you lived in the country where you were born, did you ever move to a different city or neighborhood? Did you rent there first for a number of months before you bought? And in what time of year did you rent? How long does it take to really get a good idea if you like the area or not? You might rent a house in one street on a certain sector of Camposol and really love it there. Then 6 months later you buy a house 3 streets away from where you rented and your neighbors turn out to be terrible people, or a neighbor moves out and you get a new neighbor who brings 4 dogs that are barking day and night? Or the area where you rented was maintained beautifully and after you buy your house maintanance gets worse and worse very fast and your neighborhood starts looking shady in a relatively short period of time. There simply are no guarantees in life.

I guess what I'm trying to say is if you think good and hard about what you look for in a property, a neighborhood, distance to amenities, cities, beaches, (public) transportation options, etc. and you do your research, exploring an area for a couple of weeks should tell you everything you need to know. We have moved to different countries 3 times now and never rented before buying and never had any regrets about the choices we made. Renting first before buying does not guarantee you will be happy with your purchase after living there for a certain period of time nor will buying immediately. If you want to mitigate the risk of making a bad financial decision by buying too fast maybe you should never buy at all and just rent. That will at least give you the freedom to leave and relocate whenever you feel it's the right time. Just my 2 cents. If it makes you feel better to rent first, by all means do so. Do what makes you feel best about your choices.

What an idiot, I live on Camposol and I'm glad you did not purchase next door to me. If you put a good security system in place all is good.

we purchased earlier on this year without renting, we have no regrets and our neighbours are great, where we are is extremely quiet which we craved due to our very noisy hectic life over in the UK, Camposol certainly ticks every box for us and we foresee a long term ownership which is also what we wanted

I would highly recommend that you rented first...before you bought just to get a feel of the place ...I am sure you will like Camposol  anything you want to know just ask and I am sure someone will come back with the answer  ... Good luck.

We have just rented for 3 months and its definitely best to do this first so you can see which sector you prefer etc. We have found a fantastic community spirit and have made many friends in just 12 weeks, we threw ourselves into everything to meet lots of people and now cant wait to come back when we've done our 90 stint back in the uk. Hope this helps. We stayed on D sector 🙂

You get burglaries wherever you go, it's not just camposol. You get to hear about it more hear because of facebook and the close knit community.  They had lots of burglaries in Villa Martin too.
