My name is Shona and I’m 29 years old from the United Kingdom.

I am excited about the opportunity to relocate to Murcia and explore new career paths. With over eight years of experience in Special Needs Education requiring strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and leadership, I am eager to bring my diverse skill set to a new environment.

My recent position as a supervisor in student accommodation has equipped me with valuable experience in managing teams, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive community. I thrive in dynamic settings and enjoy collaborating with people from different backgrounds.

I am drawn to the vibrant culture and lifestyle of Murcia and look forward to immersing myself in the local community. While I am currently only fluent in English, I am committed to learning Spanish and embracing new experiences. I am enthusiastic about leveraging my skills in a role that allows me to contribute to a team and make a meaningful difference.

Nice introduction...

Remember that you will need a visa to work in Spain.

You either need a working visa, which will need to be obtained in conjunction with your employer (so you need a job offer). In some cases the employer may need to prove or explain why they couldn't employ a 'native' Spaniard and need you.

Alternatively, if you were thinking of being self-employed, then you need an 'autonomo' visa, which will require a full business plan, proof of work opportunities and you will need sufficient means of maintenance (money in the bank) to support yourself if you don't have any work.

In both of these cases, you should check that any qualifications that you have / need are transferable from the UK to Spain and also these visas need renewing annually.

Also, bear in mind that unemployment is very high in Spain and also that salaries are only around 2/3rds of the salary for an equivalent job in the UK.
