Hi seen your ad and im in much the same position.  Im 56 and wanting to relocate to spain. 

I must be strange too 😁 as i want to relocate to spain but nervous to do it alone. But then again i dont have husband or wife as i think they would object to my ad 

Hi yes its a strange request, My wife is not so keen she has said that she would come out for short stays only. I am just 

looking for some quality of life before my demise (in good health now) i believe that some sun and sea will give me that.

the actual move will not happen till early next year well that's my aim. I will have to work when I am out there but I will not be 

working as I do here. I live in the midlands at present but planning going over to Spain end of year to look at situation.

 Do you expectations do you have any ideas what you want and need ?.

Maybe your wife will change her mind eventually.  Im from birmingham but moved to yorkshire 14 years ago.  I fèel the same about this country as wake up call when i lost my job i didnt get any help from government....they prioritise wrong people.  I will have to find work in spain as im not pension age yet.  I feel same as you i want to enjoy the sun and love swimming n walking so hope to be outdoors more than in.  I was hoping to move with my partner but we have split so would be nice to have company as i talk to myself enough as it is. Next year is my aim too. Id go tomorrow if i could get state pension at 56. My friend who had same plan just lost her fight to cancer so im more determind now than ever

Also as i dont know the area i would like to make up a short list of rentals in various areas and spend a week viewing....looking at january or february.  Idea is to rent for 18months to see how it works i.e job living costs health.  I will be broken hearted as have to leave my 2 small dogs in uk with my daughter but rental choice limited with pets.
