Good evening all,

I’m wondering if there is any buisness that are looking to take on a handy man or Labour? Just looking for a bit of income very hard working and very reliable. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Sean.

I don't think you will get a job on the cards ...but you will do alright with the cash in hand work for a few months ...if you intend living  full time in Spain have a look on the web you will find plenty of info  on moving and so on good luck enjoy Camposol.

No I don't know anyone off hand...but I am sure if you ask around you will pick up some cash in hand work..to get you through the summer season which is around 3 month's ... after that it starts to get complicated.to stay in Spain.

Hi frequent flyer....... u say after that 3 month season "it gets complicated to stay in spain"  can you go any further with that at all? Do you just mean financially? Or am I missing something as I'm hoping to spend quite a bit of time in Spain out of season

Spain is very seasonal, so in the three months that count as Summer there is demand for bar/waiting staff, usually at a bad rate. Outside that the only jobs would be labouring for a Brit firm and similar. You could always try to break in to the harvesting gangs, if you can stand the thought of 10-hour days in the sun for very little....

Great I was hoping the reply was financial based and not some rule or law that made it hard for British to hang around out of season. Question answered thankyou

Realistically, if you want a manual job that you can go to when you choose, requiring no or little experience, you will be competing with thousands of Spaniards, young and not so young. They also speak the language and know the ins and outs.

Anyone not a pensioner, who wants to live in Spain for more than a few months needs to sign up as a foreigner, and prove they have sufficient assets, income and health care provision, so the days of being able to bum around are gone or going.

Omg ! Do you think 20e an hr is a lot of money for a master builder ??? Footballers earn 100000k a week!!! I do not earn 20e per hr on my own work! it's a lot more, this is my rate for building companies that give me lots of work , that then saves me quoting admin and all the rest of things a master builder has to do to make sure he/her is legal and honest!!! What is wrong with some of you on here? 20e x8 hrs = 160 - petrol,  tax , admin , insurance and tools = NORMAL WAGE ! SORT your lives out,  you seem to have a bitter side NOT MY PROBLEM is it !!!
