I am coming over to view some properties in April, it’s the usual questions having read the horror story’s, I have noticed people quoting 4 sectors, do I assume that A is the oldest and D the newest, if this is the case one would assume that any earlier problems (subsidence and flooding) should now not be an issue assuming lessons were learnt and that D would be without any issues and one could buy with confidence ? If this is not the case then where would you people recommend the best and most trouble free areas, I do realise that you only hea the bad things, but when you are spending everything you have for a new life, it has to be right

Any feedback will be appreciated

Cheers steve

If you don't drive then buy on A sector... or B sector both these sectors have shops on...most of the problems with subsidence can be found on C sector ..keep away from D 23 as they are not legal ...when you do buy make sure you get the Escutura (deeds ) I have had a villa on Camposol for 11 years and still enjoy taking holidays on Camposol ..with plenty of live entertainment on A&B to be had ..we also have a 18 hole golf course with a fantastic club house that is also open to none member's if you just fancy a nice meal or a drink enjoy.

Hi, totally agree with the comment about access to shops etc. Golf club is excellent too. However, Frequentflyer is way off the mark about “C” sector. I live on that sector and have only witnessed one property with major issues. The main problems are the properties high up bordering “D” where they were built over riverbeds. (See previous comments/videos) so I think it unfair to label one sector as being problematic. These issues are being addressed but do your homework.

I have lived on Sector C for 15 years and have not seen any problems. Similarly I have many friends on sector D with beautiful houses and no problems. Just make sure you don,t buy a house classed as a Touristico and ensure that your deeds are finalised as some just say you have bought a piece of land with permission to build a house. Unfortunately the solicitors here don't check these things and could leave you with a large bill.

The properties high up bordering D sector ...are on C sector they are on reclaimed made up land ... problems on A or B ..they have had problem properties but not like the problems ..like the one's on upper C sector have.best thing to do is look yourself ..they are easy to find they are on the high ground on the left hand side of C sector.... It does not really matter what sector they are on the people that bought from Masa  got screwed by corruption from the builder's and Mazarron council.

The only subsidence issues (I am aware of are very limited and on Section C. There was also some flooding damage a few years ago also on C but when you go to view these are very obvious to see

Yes, there are 4 sectors and the largest is D but is also the furthest from the main amenities that are on B (there are also a few on A as well). Golf course is also good for a quiet drink and a meal and that is on C. for both C and D would suggest you need a car but are only circa 5-8 minutes away from the amenities on B

The "horror" stories as you put them are much over exaggerated and from what I am reading recently it looks as though there may be a light at the end of the tunnel for those who have been impacted and have continued to fight as a decision is expected "soon" (in Spanish terms of course) regarding who is to blame and therefore responsible for putting it right

would suggest you use a reputable estate agent (we used Mercers and found them very good) as they also have the contact s for solicitors, lawyers etc. all of whom speak English and will ensure all paperwork is correct as well

Try a company called Reflections

Mark on +34 617 142 987

Our neighbours recommended them and they are coming tomorrow to clean all windows, inside and out.for what we think is a reasonable price
