Day to day living
Might sound a bit daft but what does everyone do all day I couldn't just sit on my roof terrace dusk til dawn would be bored silly
There are lots of things you could volunteer for on Camposol such as helping the gardening groups the security groups etc. Also there are several local charities in aid of rescuing & rehoming dogs, helping the poor & also the aged. There are reading groups walking groups choirs - you name it. There are coach tours too. You can do as much or as little as you like basically 😊

We recently bought and will move hopefully when we are 56 ish and my hubby thought he might get bored but as per above after researching there are lots of groups to join. There is boot camp at Condado which hubby will go to a couple of times a week. Mazarron have a football team so he can go and watch some matches. We will get out in the car exploring different areas. We will also look into fostering the dogs and volunteer to walk them twice a week. Lots of fiestas through out the year in the area including camposol in August. If you like swimming research places to snorkel. Hubby will also join the gardening / road group once a week. In between we might find time to relax on the roof terrace! As I said to him he will be doing more there than if we took early retiremrnt and stayed in our village in the UK and we couldnt afford to retire early here as we would still have to pay high rent and council tax. Enjoy
There are beautiful beaches and lots of hill walks to take yourself on. My husband started, at a late age, to play golf and there are a lot of societies to join. The beaches are wonderful so me, being a bit of a beach bum, take myself there whenever I can or stay by the pool at home sometimes during the busy peak periods during the Summer. There are also organised activities up the Espuna run by the Mariposa hotel - organised walks around various parts of the Espuna finishing with a four course lunch for about €12 pp. They also organise guided quad biking trips, canoe trips and other things. Take the train into the city of Murcia - park at Totana station (free) and get a return ticket for €5.10.

My hubby goes to one twice a week in the UK. His instructor is ex army. Lots of different exercises and quick runs burpees sit ups etc. Hubby is 52 and been doing it for 3 years and loves it. He also does a 5k run once a week. Once a month they have a fitness test. Great way to try and keep fit
I asked exactly the same question before we came out here. I must admit the time just flies by! By the time you've had a leisurely breakfast perhaps followed by a trip to the port and maybe indulged in one of the fantastic value menu del dias and walked that off, done a bit of shopping for a light snack for the evening (trust me, that's all you need!) you will wonder where the day went.
As already suggested, there are lots of charities and organisations, groups etc. to join. My husband and I have joined FAST which is the First Aid Support Team. Whatever you decide, you won't be bored.
Where do you want to start? trains from TOTANA to Seville, Cordoba, Madrid, Barcelona, dragon tours on A sector do bus trips. If you like walking there is a great walk alongside the beach on las Azohia from one church to another (coffee) and back. Loads of coffee shops , often with free cakes in the winter. Menu del dia's - cheap in the winter, with a walk along the front to help the digestion.
Seaside villages/towns eg Aguilas to visit. Loads of castles and historic events/fiestas Sailing down on the mar menor, Golf on you doorstep, Visits to vinyards, and breweries. If you are shy and retiring there are choirs to hide in, and the local political party is looking for volunteers. The WARM walking group does more extensive trips around Murcia. Barbecues in the spring and Autumn, Leisurely drive back through the alps to the UK to avoid the summer heat and back in September after the oven door has shut, the maddening crowds have gone and prices of a meal on the front has dropped.
You will find it is a hard life but as long as you carefully guard your house jobs and don't do them all at once, you will probably get by. You may even acquire a Spanish sense of urgency … manyana, manyana.
Blimey ianc2 you are making me feel like having a lie down...........
