Hi everyone,
This is my first post, from warm and wet Lancashire uk.
We are thinking of moving to spain and have seen snippets of camposol on the tv show 'a place in the sun'.
Can you please tell me what you would recommend about camposol as a 'forever' new place to live, the pro's and cons??
We are in our early 50's - looking to find a less stressful way of life.

Camposol has a great community spirit ..with everything that you will require for day to day living..you say you are both in your early fifties ...this could be a bit of a problem for you both as you will both need a private health insurance policy to stay in Spain..if you own a place outright you could probably get by on €300 per week + what ever the private health insurance costs you ...€300 per week would put food on the table and pay your utility bills ...if you intend going out socializing / eating /drinking /running a car / maintaining your property then you will need a minimum of €400 per week eating / drinking out is marginally cheaper ... buying food in the Spanish supper markets is sertainly no cheaper than the UK... when and if you apply to become a resident you will need proof of income especially if you are a early retiring... don't let what I am saying you put you off ..I dare say someone will say you can live like a king on €100 per week .. good luck with that .

Have a look at the (Epat in Mazarron) videos . These videos are far more informative than the 60 second clip that was shot five years back on place in the sun...the TV program have filmed on Camposol atleast 4 times over the years.

It was either last year or on the many episodes on more 4 dating back to 2015 episodes.
Sorry I cant be of more help, but we've watched that many different programmes, you tube, etc it's all a blur.

Thanks very much. I have been following expat in Mazarron the last few months. His videos are really helpful
