Read all the info about access to health cover in Spain on CAB Spain website. if you are UK pensioner then currently you can access Spanish health system when you have residencia ....private health cover often doesnt include prescriptions but there are many variables ...and then of course no one knows about post brexit!

If you are a UK pensioner, current rules are you need to get a S1 form from UK pensions, once you have got Residencia then you can apply to get onto the Spanish health system using the S1. We have to pay 10% of actual cost of any medicine prescribed. Obviously we dont know what will happen if Brexit goes ahead
