Hi,

The flooding is a thing of the past, all sorted now, Sundays, well what do you really want, do we used to close down in UK, yes, there are plenty of places to eat and drink on a Sunday, we use them all the time.

You will miss out if you dismiss CAMPOSOL.

CAMPOSOL is a great place, never knock it until you have lived here, the community is great, they look after each other, you will not find this any where else.

English speaking, Spanish speaking, you need it.

Good luck looking else where, you will not match it.

Hi,

Sadly you will not fit in in CAMPOSOL, as you have dismissed it before trying it.

God luck else where, you will need it, and then you will probably realise your mistake.

We are a great community, and look after each other, you will not find this any where else, we know, we are prove of it.

I have read this thread with interest as one wanting to move to Camposol even though I have never been (will be rectified in September). I have fallen in love with Camposol mainly due to the fact of the community as I have felt very alone recently when hubby had a fall from a ladder and I had no one to turn to as I was unable to help him up. I am up against so much as hubby has been on YouTube-big mistake, but I will not be daunted.  I can go for weeks with only hubby or a shop assistant to say some words to.

There are problems the same as Camposol all over Europe, including Cyprus where we currently live, but we were lucky and have our title deeds and no problem with our home, a few cracks maybe but that is the way they build in hotter climates and nothing structural.

Disappointed in finding that there appears to be dog poo everywhere or is that a slight exaggeration as I can honestly say Paphos streets are paved with the stuff. The feral cats I believe are under control and have been castrated/spayed and hopefully they will be doing their duty by killing the vermin that is around anywhere with a warm climate.

Negative comments are not good to hear and the old saying “if you haven’t got anything good to say then don’t say it” comes to mind.

Sorry just had to say as I am still determined to move to Camposol and trying to learn Spanish until I can get there lol

Hola and buenas tardes to you all. I’ve just sat and scrolled through all of the comments on this topic and have to say what a load of p*p. It doesn’t matter where we go in the world, we will face problems, whether it be dodgy builders, the language or the weather. What you need to do, is ensure that wherever you decide to put down roots for your next adventure, it’s for you. Yes, Camposol has had its share of problems in the past, however, the majority of these have been rectified or at least in the process of being so. We’ve had a house here for close to 18 years and have loved every minute of it. To the lady “Mo” who had a bad experience, please don’t let that put you off. We have an excellent array of shops/bars and restaurants to please every palette. I agree, it may not be to everyone’s liking here but give it a real go, I don’t think we’ll disappoint. 👍👍👍

Well said,

Fully agree, since the day we moved in last year, we have been supported by the community, given help and advice, taken to all the offices to obtain our paperwork, and all have refused any type of gratuity in return.

Our neighbours are fantastic, and we have made great friends in the road.

The community spirit I have never found anywhere before.

Now we see it as our turn to help others, and indeed have started to do so.

Outsiders may knock us all they like, but they cannot beat us.

We are CAMPOSILIANS, and bloody proud of it.

So all you disbelievers, dont knock a great community, we do our best, and support each other, you will not find this any where else.

i would also add, if you want to see the real camposol.remotely,  go to you tube, expat in mazarron, shaun matthews, just a normal bloke, that gives insight into  camposol ,, tours of villas, beaches nearby, butchers, pubs shops ,gardens.,banks, he tells it ,as it is, unbiased,

but you have to ask yourself, if the other half takes ill, as most are retired, who will be around to help , thats when camposol kicks in, peace of mind ,that they will help,

Well said, I totally agree.

Thats what a great community does, it steps in when some one needs help.

Thats CAMPOSOL , and we know as when we have needed help, it was there, so valuable, so appreciated, great people who ask nothing in return, beat that.

I’m sure you will love it, I’ve only purchased recently on D27 but already feel I’m home 🥰

Hoping to be doing the same in the next couple of months.  A villa on B for my brother who needs to be closer to amenities and another on lower C or dry areas of D for us.
