The truth is that RightMove are really just estate agents, and whilst they might have a certain amount of knowledge on the ins and outs of relocating to another country, my advice would be to speak to actually qualified people who do this for a living. If you're not already a member of the Citizens Advice Bureau Spain's Facebook group, then I would recommend that you join. They have up-to-date and factual information that they get from both the Spanish and the UK governments and not just hearsay gleaned from someone trying to sell you a property. The CAB's website is also full of information.

https://www.citizensadvice.org.es/

Of course, lots of advice can be found on forums such as this one but as the rules have changed a lot recently, much of the personal information that people are offering, may no longer be valid.

We found our property using the RightMove website (although the purchase was via a local Spanish estate agent) and then used a solicitor on the RightMove recommended list. We found him (Peter Esders at Judicare) to be very efficient, but also fairly expensive. However, all in all we were very happy with his services.

We also found their 'Guide to Buying a Property in Spain' of some use...

Hi Rich thank you for your reply I did think the solicitor would be expensive but if you were happy with him that is all that counts. I also intend to find an estate agent of my own choice .
